Dr Jaco Naude was born and raised in Polokwane Limpopo. He matriculated in Hoërskool Noorderland in Polokwane, being head boy in a successful matric year. His parents still live in Polokwane.

He completed his Medicine Bachelor and Bachelor in Surgery (MBBCh) at The University of the Witwatersrand where he met his wife, Petro. During his final year his interest in Orthopaedic Surgery started developing.

He completed his internship at Tygerberg Hospital, Cape Town, after which he returned to Limpopo to work back a full academic scholarship. He started working full time in Orthopaedics in Mahwelareng Hospital, Mokopane. After 2 years in Mokopane, he moved with his wife to Pretoria to start official training at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. He graduated as a Fellow of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as completed a Masters in Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery with Distinction in June 2020. Since 2016 he started developing a keen interest in Foot and Ankle surgery and assisted a Foot and Ankle surgeon on a weekly basis. In 2020, he headed the Foot and Ankle unit in Steve Biko Hospital, with the assistance and guidance of his mentors. In 2021 he completed the South African Orthopaedic Association Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Nectare Linksfield Hospital and Wits University, with renowned Foot and Ankle surgeons.

He was fortunate enough to start private practice in Life Wilgers, Netcare Unitas and Cureday Erasmuskloof Hospitals in July 2021. From January 2024, Dr Naude will also have theater lists available at Life Faerie Glen Hospital - the specialised rthopaedic Hospital in Pretoria. His elective practice focuses on Foot and Ankle surgery, including trauma and reconstruction. He has a keen interest in improving patient outcomes. For this reason, research continues to be a keen aspect of his practice. He has published various articles and continuous to do so (see the Publications page for more). He has also completed various international courses, congresses, and surgeon visitations.

He is happily married with 2 beautiful daughters. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and cycling. He lives by a motto of professionalism and positivity and believes good outcomes can be achieved through hard work and working together.
